Overview

CalcNow ("we", "us", "our") operates the website https://www.calcnow.cc. This policy distinguishes two completely separate kinds of data: (1) calculator inputs, which never leave your browser, and (2) aggregate site-usage and advertising data, which Google Analytics and Google AdSense collect via cookies once you accept the consent banner.

1. Calculator Inputs (Tool Data) — Not Collected

Your weight in the BMI calculator, your salary in the salary calculator, your mortgage amount, or any other figure you type into a CalcNow tool stays in your browser's memory only. It is not sent to our servers, not logged, and not persisted after you close the tab. You can verify this in your browser's developer tools (Network tab) — there are zero outbound requests during a calculation. The math runs entirely client-side in JavaScript.

2. Site-Usage and Advertising Data — Collected via Google

CalcNow is supported by ads. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are popular and Google AdSense to show ads. Both load only after you accept the cookie consent banner; before consent, Google Consent Mode v2 keeps all advertising and analytics cookies in a denied state.

What this means in plain terms: which pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate city-level location (estimated from IP, but the IP itself is not stored under GA4's 2020+ policy), your browser and device type, and your interactions with ads (clicks, impressions, frequency capping) are sent to Google. Calculator inputs are never part of this data.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and general location (country/city level). This data helps us improve our calculators and user experience.

Google Analytics uses cookies to track interactions. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing history.
